Toronto TTC Bus Crash In Etobicoke Several Injured And 1 Person Dead

One person is dead after a crash between a TTC bus and a car in Etobicoke early Sunday morning.

The collision happened around 6 a.m. on Kipling Avenue at Brookmere Road, south of Albion.

The bus collided with the car, took out a traffic light and fire hydrant then careened through a parking lot and into a CIBC branch.I

Police said the two others in the car were taken to Sunnybrook hospital in critical condition.

Paramedics took six people from the bus to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The TTC will be conducting its own investigation alongside police, and CEO Andy Byford was at the scene to survey the aftermath.

NOTE: Police had said one of the people taken to Sunnybrook had died, but later corrected that account.
