A male motorcyclist has died of his injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Pickering, Durham regional police say.Durham regional police said it happened just after 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.The man, who is from the Ajax area and in his early-40s, fell off his bike and was then struck.“A motorcyclist was driving along Pickering Parkway, near Valley Farm [Road]. Information we have is that he fell off his motorcycle and was subsequently hit by a motor vehicle,” Staff-Sgt. Don Patrick told 680 NEWS.
Patrick said an air ambulance arrived to transport the patient, but paramedics assessed him at the scene and took him to Ajax and Pickering Hospital.The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene.Patrick said he does not anticipate any charges will be laid at this point.
